A Historic & Momentous Occasion

“At last the historic persecutions suffered by Lincoln’s Jewish Community have now been properly acknowledged and commemorated…” Stephen Griffiths MBE, Leader of the Independent Jewish Minyan

After 800 years the Jews of Lincoln have been honoured in a special ceremony unveiling a memorial stone which also commemorates more than 600 Jewish aircrew of the RAF and Bomber Command who perished during WW2.

This deeply moving and special event sponsored by ICEJ UK was attended by local dignitaries, Jewish and Christian leaders and military personnel.  It was a long time coming but as always in God’s perfect timing. As light rainfall accompanied the beginning of the dedication we were blessed as the sun came out just as the Stone was unveiled!
