Dear friends and prayer partners.

Rosh HaShanah starts at sunset on Wednesday and marks the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Days.

Despite the difficulties of the ongoing war in Israel, this is still a time of prayer, deep reflection, and gratitude for Jewish families. Here in the Land, Israelis will attend synagogue, and then families will gather to share a meal, light candles, and listen for the sounds of the shofar.

On this Rosh HaShanah holiday, the ICEJ extends to Israel and the Jewish people our sincere blessing and prayer for peace in the year to come. May this nation be strengthened and renewed despite the challenges confronting its people. Shana Tova U’Metuka —wishing everyone a good and sweet year ahead!

Blessings from Jerusalem!
